Statutory requirements
Radsol is able to provide contracted Radiation Safety Officers to meet statutory requirements on either a permanent or as-needed basis.
Did you know:
When Fixed Radiation Gauges are in use in Western Australia, a licensee (or competent person) must be available to attend to an incident within one hour at all times? This generally requires companies to have multiple licenses licence holders (or competent persons) to cover various rosters. (reference: Registration Condition 2.2)
Act early
If you are beginning to work with radiation sources (radioactive sources or irridating apparatus), we recommend that you engage Radsol early in your planning phase, allowing you the advantages of:
- Identifying efficiencies within planning your company’s radiological requirements
- Expediting purchasing and import of radioactive sources.
- Legislative advice on local requirements – expediting licensing, registrations, approvals
- Fast turn-around of Radiation Management Plans
- Regulatory liaison
- Interim radioactive material storage solutions
These services can be provided on an interim basis until Radsol can train and mentor your team personnel to take over the Radiation Safety Officer position.
Regardless of what stage you are at in your radiation certification process, our Radiation Safety officers can provide guidance regarding planning.
