Course Overview

This course is aimed at personnel who supervise the use of Portable XRF (X-ray fluorescence) devices on behalf of their organisation.

It does not permit the repair or maintenance of equipment or allow personnel to perform alignment procedures where safety interlocks are to be defeated.

This course provides participants with the skill and knowledge required to manage the radiation of Portable XRF equipment, including aspects such as auditing and compliance, radiation exposure, and incident response.

About this Course
Under the Radiation Safety Act 1975, portable XRF must be used under the supervision of a competent and licensed person.
